The spiritual law we live by: Romans 8:1-2

Romans 8:1-2 says, There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For the LAW OF THE SPIRIT OF LIFE in CHRIST JESUS hath made me free from the LAW OF SIN AND DEATH. From these verses we can see that there are two spiritual laws that Christians can live by. One is call the "law of the Spirit of Life," while the other is call "the law of sin and death." Every human being today is living his or her life under one or the other of these two laws. For every spiritual force and substance in the real...m of life, there is a riciprocal force or substance in the realm of death. In the first you're find hope, In the other you're find its reciprocal - despair. Faith has a reciprocal force also its call fear. Most people don't even realize this, we don't pay attention to the things we say or hear. Even with reading or watching television. We buy into whatever is being said, before long satan has gain a foothold in your life. Romans 10:17 says, Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God. Well, in that same sense, Fear comes by hearing, and hearing by whomever is speaking it. My question tonight is which team are you on, LIFE OR DEATH, the choice is your. Our confession determine the kind of life you want and wish to live. Proverbs 18:21 says Death and life are in the power of the tongue; and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof. What are you speaking over your life, your children lives, your finances, your marriages, your job. You see these spiritual laws goes much deeper than we'll aware of, for example we are all aware of the biblical principles that states: by two or more witnesses a thing is established (Deut. 19:15, Matt. 18:16, 2Cor 13:1, 1Tim. 5:19, Heb. 10:28.) My point is this, from heavens perspective, it takes at least two parties saying the same thing for a matter to be settle. So when the word of God says by His stripes you are heal, and the devil is saying you got cancer and you're going to die; you have two different parties saying oppossite things, which party will you be in agreement with. Sounds simple doesn't it, THE THINGS WE SAY HAVE A TREMENDOUS IMPACT US AND THE PEOPLE WE MINISTER TO. watch your words amen

The Holy Spirit, His Gifts, Gift of Prophecy, (1Cor.12:7-11) Part 2:

The Holy Spirit, His Gifts, Gift of Prophecy, (1Cor.12:7-11) Part 2: From the previous lesson when looking at the gift of prophesy and that of the prophetic office, we should not get these two confused. The simple gift of prophecy has no revelation in it. Rather, it speaks unto men for their edufication, exhortation, and comfort (1Cor. 14:3); it's only purpose is to edify the church (1Cor. 14:4). In 1Cor. 14:1, Paul was telling the whole Church at Corinth to covet to prophesy and to desire spiritual gifts. "But rather that ye may prophesy." Yet if we look at 1Cor. 12:28, Paul said that all are not prophets. If prophesying made a person a prophet, then Paul would be contradicting himself. The only thing Paul was saying here, that the gift of simple prophecy does not make one a prophet. A rich man has money, most of us have some money, if it only a few cents, but that doesn't make us rich. Follow my point. But I also want to make this point, because I think it's real critical in view of what we preceive today. A prophet would have more of the gifts of the Spirit in operation than just the gift of prophecy. He would have revelation gifts operating along with prophecy for the simple reason that Paul says in 1Cor. 14:29 and 30, "Let the prophets speak two or three, and let the other judge. If any thing be revealed to another that sitteth by [that is another prophet], let the first hold his peace. Just as with the gift of tongues, if there is not another to interpreted it, then they should hold their peace. Too many times we'll so quick to hear a word, any word and it may be no word from a prophet, when clearly the Bible says there should be another to confirm the word spoken. One other thing that we should keep in mind, Paul says in V30 "If any thing be reveal," the prophet would have other relation gifts operating in his ministry, as well as the gift of prophecy. To constitute standing in the office of the prophet, a person needs to have at least two of the revelation gifts operating on a continual basis in his or her life and ministry, plus the gift of prophecy. So let us not confuse the simple gift of prophecy and that of the office of a prophet. "More on this tomorrow"

The Holy Spirit, His Gifts, Gift of Prophecy, (1Cor.12:7-11) Part1:

The Holy Spirit, His Gifts, Gift of Prophecy, (1Cor.12:7-11) Part1: In this lesson, we will begin our discussion of the three gifts of inspiration. Of these three gifts, prophecy is the most important. the reason behind this is that it takes the other two gifts, divers kind of tongues and the interpretation of tongues to equal this one gift. The Bible says in 1Cor.14:5... greater is he that prophesieth than he that speaketh with tongues, except he interpret... This infers that to speak with tongues and to interpret the tongues is equivalent to prophesy. Therefore prophecy is really the most important of these three gifts of inspiration because it does not require another gift to complete it. The Hebrew meaning of the phrase, "to prophesy" is to flow forth like a fountain, to let drop, to lift up, to tumble forth, and to spring forth. The Greek word that is translated "prophecy" can mean to speak for God or to be His spokeman. In First Corinthians 14:1 we read, "Follow after charity[Love], and desire spiritual gifts, but rather that ye may PROPHESY." We are told to desire spiritual gifts, but especially that we might prophesy. that doesn't mean we to not desire the other gifts, but we are to especially desire prophesy. At the end of 1Cor chapter 14, Paul repeats, "Wherefore, brethren, covet to prophesy. We could say it like this, God through Paul spoke to the church to desire spiritual gifts, but rather that we may prophesy (1Cor. 14:1,39). The simple gift of prophesy should not be confused with the prophetic office or with prophetic utterance that may come forth in the prophets ministry. Paul said, "But he that prophesieth speaketh unto men to EDIFICATION, and EXHORTATION, and COMFORT" (1COR.14:3). In the office of the prophet we often find that revelation or forthtelling (speaking future events) does come forth, even through the vehicle of prophesy. Part two tomorrow. Be bless and Amen

The Holy Spirit, The Gifts, Gifts of Healings (1Cor. 12:7-11);

The Holy Spirit, The Gifts, Gifts of Healings (1Cor. 12:7-11); We want to pick this lesson up where we left off from the previous lesson. Looking at 1Cor. 12:28, Paul write here about the difference between spiritual gifts and ministry gifts. ‎"And God hath set SOME in the church" Paul wasn't talking about spiritual gifts here, the "SOME" that were set in the church includes "first apostles" (1Cor. 12:28). "Apostles" isn't an individual gift that someone receives; it is a ministry gift to the church. "Some" also includes secondarily prophets. That also is a ministry, not to bless an individual, but it is a ministry that is given to bless the whole church, some wear the title as if they have been individually put here that men may admire them. That's not the intent of these ministries, that we may be glorified, but God in blessing the church. 1Cor. 12:28 goes on with thirdly teachers, the teaching gift is not something that is given to bless an individual, but like the others it's sole purpose is that the body of Christ may be blessed. Paul goes on in this text and talks about "after that miracles" there are some people in the ministry who are equipped with the working of miracles in their ministry. That verse continues, "then gifts of healings" (1Cor.12:28) Paul asks the question, "Are all apostles?" In other words, Paul was saying, "Does everyone has the ministry of an apostle?" the answer would be NO, are all prophets, No; are all teachers? again No. Does the Body of Christ know what are their spiritual or ministry gift? Unfortunately No, however I do believe that each of us has enough faith to bring the power of God to our individual and corporate lives. The Bible says in Hosea 4:6, My people are destroyed for lack of Knowledge, it goes on to say, because thou has rejected knowledge, I will reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me. You may be saying how have I rejected thee? God requires one thing from us, according to Joshua 1:8, This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth: but thou shall meditate therein day and night. Too many churches has become motivational clubs, where our only intent is to get excited for an hour or so. The gifts of Healings and any other gift that we have talk about over the course of the last few weeks, only comes with the knowledge of God in your hearts. We can be in awe of the power of God on someone else's life, but these gifts are available to you as well. God is no respector of person. The Bible says that these gifts are our, let's claim them in the name of Jesus, and watch God perform miracles before our eyes. Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God. To those who have an ear, let them hear. Thank God for His Word and the privilege of believing and acting upon His Word. Thank God, also, for supernatural manifestations and for His gifts. God Bless and Amen

The Holy Spirit, The Gifts, Gifts of Healings (1Cor. 12:7-11):

The Holy Spirit, The Gifts, Gifts of Healings (1Cor. 12:7-11): The gifts of healings are manifested for the supernatural healing of sickness and disease without any natural source or means. Most of us basically understand the subject of healing. Healings were, of course, in priminence, in Jesus' ministry as He walked on the earth.
Jesus had a healing ministry, and He also gave authority to His disciples to heal the sick (Matt. 10:8). Healing is also included in the Great Commission Jesus gave to the church. (mark 16:18) I want to emphasize the supernatural character of the gifts of healings. The gifts of healings have nothing to do with medical science or human learning. Now don't get me wrong, I believe in medical science, and I believe in doctors treating people. If that was God's way of healing people then doctor ought not to charge, because the Bile says, freely ye have received, freely give (Matt. 10:8). But the healing that is supernatural doesn't come by diagnosis or by prescribing treatment. Divine healing comes by laying on of hands, anointing with oil, or sometimes just by speaking a word, just a few examples. There are three verses in 1Cor. 12, that Paul mention the gifts of healings, you're find them in verse 9, 28, and 30. 1Cor. 12:9 To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the Gifts of Healings byb the same Spirit. 28 And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then Gifts of Healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues... 30 Have all the Gifts of Healings? do all speak with tongues? do all interpret? I want you to notice that this is the only gift, besides tongues, that is plural. Now the Bible doesn't specifically say, but there are a few opinions which I believe are well-founded. It may be that there are gifts of healings because there are different kinds of diseases and one gift wouldn't heal every kind of disease. There are instances where ministers have healed certain kinds of diseases, but fail to heal all. In the ministry of Jesus, every manner of sickness and every manner of disease were healed, because Jesus had the Spirit without measure. (Matt. 9:35) Now I want to get an understanding in all this, if there is no gift of the Spirit in manifestation, people can always be healed and set free based on the Word of God. The Bible says it's the anointing, or the power of God that breaks the yoke (Isa. 10:27) The anointing is the Word of God. Whenever the Spirit of God is moving, it's a lot easier to receive. Tomorrow I will finish this lesson up with Ministering by the Gifts of Healings. Be Bless and may God continue to bless you and your families.

The Holy Spirit, The Gifts, (1Cor. 12:4-7) The Gift of the Working of Miracles:

The Holy Spirit, The Gifts, (1Cor. 12:4-7) The Gift of the Working of Miracles: The Bible is full of examples when the working of miracles was manifested, unfortunately the only reason we can't or don't see these gifts in operation today is because of teaching and a lack of faith. And yes there are conditions to be met, and yes living the christian life is more than just knowing about something. We can know of Jesus, but never have a personal relationship with Him. We can know and read about the fruit of the Spirit and yet we can't love our brother or sister, or walk in God's peace and joy. And yes my brother and sister these gifts are available to us today, but are we willing to pay the price? Paul said in 1Cor. 12:31, But covet earnestly the best gifts. What did Paul mean here, to"covet earnestly" the assumption is that he means, "Ask God for" or "Pray for" or "Work for." But that is not what he means at all. All through this discourse he has already said that the Holy Spirit decides who gets what gifts. Why would he encourage believers to pray for different gifts from the ones God has chosen for them? To do so is to express a lack of faith in God's judgement. The Greek word render here is Zelos, which means to place a high value on, to have a strong passion for a thing, to hold them in high regard. I am convinced that as we covet spiritual gifts and earnestly desire them, they will be more in manifestation than they have ever been. But it is not going to come just because we sit around and talk about them and just wish we could see them in demonstration. I am convince if there is a great calling of the unsaved to repentance, then these gifts, along with preaching has to be demonstrated. Revival is coming, will we be onlookers, or will we take our place in it? "This working of miracles is a great gift, glorifying the God of all power," as Howard Carter said, and "stimulating the faith of His people and astonishing and confounding the unbelief of the wicked." There will be many Smith Wiggleworths raise up in this hour, filled with the power of God and doing Kingdom work to the glory of God. Amen and God Bless. Next Lesson The Gift of Healings.

The Holy Spirit, The Gifts, The Gift of the Working of Miracles: Part 1

The Holy Spirit, The Gifts, The Gift of the Working of Miracles: Part 1 We now come to the gift of the working of miracles. A miracle can be defined as a supernatural intervention by God in the orinary course of nature. Like many words in the English language, when we use the word "miracle" it means one thing with speaking in general, but when use specifically it means something else. For example, sometimes the word miracle is use generally as a figure of speech, we use terms like miracle fabrics, miracle drugs, miracle detergents, and so on. Just like in the spiritual realm, every one of the gifts of the Spirit is miraculous; they are all supernatural. In general use of the word miracle, all gifts of the Spirit are miracles, not just the gift of the working of miracles. But specifically speaking, all of them are not. When the working of miracles is in manifestation, there is a divine intervention in the ordinary course of nature. For example, after Elijah ascended to heaven in a chariot in the whirlwind, Elisha received his mantle and smote the Jordan river, dividing the waters by the sweep of his mantle was a working of miracles because that was a supernatural intervention in the ordinary course of nature. (2Kings2:14) In the area of healing, many times miracles are received, but this is not necessarily the working of miracles; they are simply called healing miracles. Everything God does is miraculous in a sense, but receiving healing by supernatural means is not a miracle in the sense that turning common dust into insects just by a gesture is a miracle (exod.8:16) or turning water into wine just by speaking a word is a miracle (John 2:7-11). Those two occurrences are examples of the working of miracles. As stated before, the difference between the gift of faith and the working of miracles is that the gift of faith receives a miracle and the working of miracles works a miracles. The working of miracles is used to display God's power and magnificence. In Young's Analytical Concordance to the Bible, the Greek word for "miracles" in 1Cor 12:10 is "dunamis", and can be translated acts of powers. So, the working of miracles could also be called the working of acts of powers. According to the Greek word also means, explosions of almightiness or impelling, staggering wonders or antonishments. 1 Cor.12:10 could read like this, "To another the working of impelling, staggering wonders or astonishments, or the outworkings of explosions of almightiness and acts of powers. We might say that when this gift is in manifestation through the believer, he participates in the same power that was manifested when God created the world. Let me encourage you as I try to encourage myself to pray that the fullness of these spiritual gifts will be manifested, and it's not a prayer that should be prayed once but everytime we go before God in prayer. Amen " more on this tomorrow"

The Holy Spirit, The Gifts, 1Cor12:4-7 The gift of Faith:

The Holy Spirit, The Gifts, 1Cor12:4-7 The gift of Faith: In talking about the three power groups, very often they work together. The gift of faith, the gift of healings, and the working of miracles, one person that comes to mind with these gifts was Smith Wigglesworth, a great man of God who lived his life for the Glory of God. On at least three different occasions people were raise from the dead. All it took was a man of ordinary faith to believe God Word, and this gift of supernatural faith will take over. more on these other gifts in later studies. If we (meaning the church) would get out the norm of just trying to get our praise on, and would humble ourselves before God, I believe all the things the Bible says we can do, can be done. Like the writer says in Hebrews 11:1, Faith is the substance of things hope for, the evidence of things not seen. You don't have to see it to believe it, faith is born in the heart and confess with our mouths. Remember, ordinary faith comes by hearing the Word of God (Rom. 10:17). But the gift of faith is manifested by the Holy Spirit to enable a person to receive a miracle beyond the capacity of ordinary faith. The gift of faith is employed in casting out evil spirits. When you cast out devils, you are trusting God to honor your word as His own. This gift is also in operation when it comes to ministering the baptism of the Holy Spirit to believers. Of course, any believer can lay hands on people in general faith and appropriate God's promises from His word, even with receiving the Holy Spirit. But when it comes to a manifestation of the Spirit of God ministered through one person to another, that is a gift of the Spirit in operation. God works through sovereign demonstrations of power and through supernatural manifestations in the gifts of the Spirit, as well as simple faith in His Word. The gift of faith can be in operation to minister the Holy Spirit to believers, imparting the fullness of God which is the promise of the Father, enriching the soul, and enpowering one to spiritual service. As we learn more about these gifts, I believe through faith in God's word that we will see more manifestations of these gifts, In this day and hour in which we live, these gifts are necessary to bring God power and desires to this earth. We'll in a time when preaching along will not entice the lost, but Jesus had this to say in Mark 16:17, And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. Sounds like Jesus was speaking about the gifts of the Spirit there. Let us put a little power behind our preaching, anybody can be a good orator. Amen and God Bless. The Holy Spirit, The Gifts, 1Cor 12:4-7 The gift of Faith:

The Holy Spirit, The Gifts, 1Cor 12:4-7 The gift of Faith: We have covered the revelation gifts of the Holy Spirit: the word of wisdom, the word of knowledge, and the word of the discerning of spirits. Now it's time to study the three power gifts of the Holy Spirit: the gift of faith, the working of miracles, and the gift of healings.
The gift of faith is also called special faith. Every believer has general faith or saving faith, which is also a gift. Ephesians 2:8 says, "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God." The faith you are save by is a gift of God, but it is not the gift of faith Paul talks about here in the 1Cor.12. The faith which we are talking about here - special faith , is something other than general faith or saving faith. It is the supernatural manifestation of the Holy Spirit whereby a believer is enpowered with special faith or wonder-working faith. The gift of faith is a gift of the Spirit to the believer in order that he or she might receive miracles. Miracles in areas that seem impossible with man, and only possible with God through the Holy Spirit. The working of miracles, on the other hand , is a gift of the Spirit given to the believer that he might work miracles. One gift receives and the other does something. It is important that we also note that we all have faith, because all of the gifts operate by faith. The gift of faith, one of the nine gifts of the Spirit, is separate and distinct from the simple gift of saving faith. The gift of faith or special faith is also distinct from the faith that is a fruit of the Spirit (Gal.5:22). We read about the fruit of the Spirit, one of which is faith, in Galatians chapter 5. In the Greek, the word "faith" could be translated faithfulness. The fruit of the Spirit are for charcter, the gifts of the Spirit are for power. Fruit is something that grows your faith or faithfulness, to establish you in Godly character. But the gift of faith is a special gift whish is given supernaturally by the Spirit of God, as He wills. Those who operate in special faith, the gift of the Spirit, can believe God in such a way that God honors their word as His own, and miraculously brings to pass the desired result. "More on this in the next lesson."

The Holy Spirit, The Gifts: The Discerning of spirits "continue"

The Holy Spirit, The Gifts: The Discerning spirits "continue" Discerning the similitude (likeness) of God is also included within the scope of this gift. We see an example of this in Exodus 33:22-23, it record an account of God allowing Moses to see into the realm of spirits. And he (the Lord) said, Thou canst not see my fact; for there shall no man see me, and live. And the lord said, Behold, there is a place by me, and thou shalt stand upon a rock: And it shall come to pass, while my glory passeth by, that I will put thee in a clift of the rock, and will cover thee with my hand while I pass by: And I will take away mine hand, and thou shalt see my back parts: but my face shall not be seen. Moses was seeing in the spirit realm, he was able to discern the similitude of God by the manifestation of this gift of the spirit. Another instance of a person seeing the similitude of God we find in Isaiah 6. The prophet Isaiah said, In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up. Having the gift of discerning of spirits isn't just seeing into the realm of evil spirits. This gift gives one a supernatural insight into the spirit world where there are divine spirits as well as evil spirits. It can also be manifested to reveal the human spirit. Discerning of spirits deals with three kinds of classes of spirits: divine, satanic, and human. We must remember, supernatural manifeatations can come from different sources, Many things that seem miraculous or supernatural to us actually do not come from God. We must remember that satan is also a supernatural being. Far to often people are ready to follow anything that is supernatural or spectacular, whether we prove it by scripture to be of God or not. Acts 16:17 gives us an example of this. Here Paul dealt with an evil spirit behind an operation. When the maiden who had a spirit of divination followed Paul and said, These men are the servants of the most high God, which shew unto us the way of salvation. Paul finally turned to her and spoke directly to the spirit, he didn't deal with the woman. It was probably the gift of discerning of spirits in operation on Paul. I want to close this by saying, even without having the gift of discerning of spirits in manifestation, if we know the Word of God and if we are walking in the spirit, we will have an inward witness if someone is operating by a wrong spirit. The Holy Spirit on the inside of us will warn us if we are at all sensitive to Him. The realm of the spirit is very real, altough we cannot perceive it with our natural senses. God has provided the gift of discerning of spirits into this spiritual realm, and only as His Spirit wills. All of these lessons may not agree with everyone Theology, my prayer is that everyone who read these posts will at least walk away with something that is wrote here. May God continue to bless you in your walk, and may He always be glorified in all that we do for His kingdom. Next Lesson "The Gift Of Faith"

The Holy Spirit, The Gifts: The Discerning of Spirits

The Discerning of Spirits; 1Cor. 12:7-11, In this lesson we will cover the third revelation gift, the Discerning of spirits. This lesson will probably in a three part series because there's so much information to cover. Everthing within the realm of knowledge,
whether facts, events, purposes, motives, origins, or destinies - human, divine, or satanic; natural or supernatural; or past, present, or future comes within the focal range of one or the other of these three revelation gifts that we have discuss. (see previous lessons) The discerning of spirits gives supernatural insight into the spirit world. To discern means to preceive by hearing or seeing. The discerning of spirits actually has a more limited range of operation than the other two revelation gifts, the word of Knowledge and the Word of Wisdom. That is because its revelation is limited to a single class of objects - spirits. The best way to explain discerning of spirits is explain what it is not. The discerning of spirits is not a kind of spiritual mind reading. It's not psychological insight, nor is it mental "penetration." It is not the power to discern the faults of others. If those of us who think they have the gift of faultfinding would just turn that gift on themselves for about fiftenn seconds, they would never use it again. The discerning of spirits is not a gift to uncover human failures, the Bible says we should walk in love, and the Bible says love covers a multitude of sins. Many things that people say are the devil, isn't the devil at all, they are works of the flesh. The works of the flesh are listed in Galatians 5:19-21, Now the works of the flesh are manifest, whuch are these; Adultery, forication, uncleanness, lasciviosness, 20. Idolatry, wicthcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies. 21. Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like; Too many times Christians want to think that if a person is envious, he or she has a spirit upon them, but according to Gal. 5, envy is the work of the flesh, along with everything else Paul mentions. Some people are more devil conscious than they are God conscious. As a result , they give place to the devil and he defeats them in life. But Jesus said in John 8:32, you should know the truth , and the truth shall set you free. We need to be very careful about these things. To make sure we are scriptural and beleive the turth of God's word. If you will do what what the Bible says, if you will .... present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service(Romans 12:1) and neither yeild your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin... (Romans 6:13) the devil won't be able to have any place in you. It is certainly true that there are those who are bound by the enemy, and of course all bondage is of the devil, either directly or nidirectly. That doesn't always means there is a direct presence of an evil spirit, but an evil spirit could be enforcing the problem. The gift of Discerning of spirits should encompasses more than seeing an evil spirit, the scope of this gift is seeing the simitude of God. "continue tomorrow" and if you want to ask questions, feel free to ask. With the help of the Holy Spirit, I pray that all get answered. Amen

The Holy Spirit, The Gifts, The Word of Wisdom:

As I said from the previous lesson, a Word of Knowledge is a fragment of what God knows, the Word of Wisdom operate the same way. God has all wisdom and knowledge, but He only reveals a part of it to man - only that which He want us to know. The Word of wisdom must not be confused with simple wisdom in the affairs of life. Simple wisdom is not a spiritual gift. When God spoke to Joshua, He told him the key to his success would lie in meditating on the Word of God and that he would obtain wisdom in the affairs of life. Joshua 1:8, This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shall meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. Another translation says, Thou shalt make thyself prosperous and thou shalt be able to deal wisely in the affairs of life. Wisdom is gain by studying the Word of God, but lets not confuse it with the supernatural manifestation of the gift of the Word of Wisdom. The supernatural manifestitation of the gift of the word of wisdom is not given to everyone. The Word of Knowledge is a supernatural revelation by the Spirit of God concerning certain facts in the mind of God - facts about people, places or things in the past or present. The Word of Wisdom is a supernatural revelation by the Spirit of God concerning the divine purpose and plans in the mind and will of God. The Wod of Wisdom is the best gift. The difference between the two gifts, the word of knowledge brings a revelation that is present tense or concerning something that has happened in the past, the word of wisdom is always future. When John seen a vision of Jesus on the Isle of Patmos you had both the word of knowledge and the word of wisdom in operation, (Rev. 1:10-20) Jesus told him of the present condition of the seven churches, but He also told him of their future condition. The Lord told each one of the churches what to do in the future, according to His plan and purpose for them. There are many examples of this gift throughout the Word of God, but because of time and space I will only give you the scriptures so that you can read them for yourself. When the Lord spoke to Philip in Acts chapter 8:26-29; the word of wisdom to Noah, you're find in Gen. 6:13-18; Joseph receive a word of wisdom on Gen 37: 5-11. We must not confused these gifts, most of us think just because a minister stands in the office of a Prophet, we automatically assume that they are able to foresee the future, the simple gift of prophecy according to 1Cor 14: 3 is given for edification, exhortation, and comfort. Now if he's able to give a word about your future, it's because the Word of Wisdom is in operation upon him or her. There is no element of prediction or foretelling in the simple gift of prophecy whatsoever. Prophecy, then is just a vehicle through which a Word of Wisdom comes. Continue tomorrow

Holy Spirit, The Gifts, The Word of Knowledge:

Holy Spirit, The Gifts, The Word of Knowledge: (1Cor. 12:8-10)
Even though the Word of Knowledge is listed second in the text, I believe it will give a better understanding of the Word of Wisdom. So be patient with me as we try to get a better understanding of these nine gifts. The Word of Knowledge, it is not "the gift of knowledge."  There is a spiritual gift called the Word of Knowledge. The word of Knowledge is the supernatural revelation by the Holy Spirit of certain facts in the mind of God. God is all knowing. He knows everything. But He doesn't reveal everything He knows to man. He just gives him a word or a part of what He knows. A word is a fragmentary part of a sentence, so a word of knowledge would simply be a fragmentary part of the entire knowledge or counsel of God. He imparts a word of knowledge to us, just what He wants us to know. There are people who seem to think that these gifts are natural, not supernatural. If that was the case then the gift of Healings would not be supernatural, but natural through what people have learned. This word of knowledge is not to be confused with our profound knowledge of the Bible, even though we do become knowledgeable from the study of it. It was Paul who told Timothy to study to show thyself approved. So yes we do have a profound knowledge of the Word of God by studying it, but the Word of Knowledge comes by a supernatural revelation. Below you will find Biblical examples of the Word of Knowledge in operation, in the Old testament, we read the story of how God spoke to Samual.(1Samual 3:4-10) In the New Testament we find the Word of Knowledge being given to John, (Rev. 1:10-20). Another example of this gift in operation is found in Acts chapter 9, the story of Ananias. Then there's a Word being given to Peter in Acts chapter 10, Peter on the rooftop. This manifestation of the Spirit isn't just for the early church, but its for us today Too many times we get things messed up because we get ahead of God when He speaks to us, instead of waiting for Him to open the door. Lacking understanding, many try to operate a gift of the Spirit themselves, without the unction of the Holy Spirit. Perhaps a gift of the Spirit has manifested in their lives on occasion and they think, now I prossess that gift and I can operate it at will. You're leaving yourself open to satanic deception and a wrong spirit. The gifts of the Holy Spirit operate as the Holy Spirit wills, not as we will (1Cor. 12:11). When we get away from the Word, satan will accommodate you, even with supernatural manifestations. The Holy Spirit operates in line with the Word of God. If the body of believers would covet thw gifts of the Spirit, the Holy Spirit will divide to every man sevally as He wills, not as we will, not as you will, but as the Spirit wills. By the manifeatation of the gift of the Word of Knowledge, the church can be purified, the distressed comforted, the saints gladdened, lost property recovered, the enemy's plans defeated and the Lord Jesus glorified. Amen "Next The Word of Wisdom"

The Holy Spirit, Ministries Gifts vs. Spiritual Gifts

We will use Corinthians 12 as a backdrop to this study, along with Ephesians 4:11-12.  In order to see the difference between ministry gifts and spiritual gifts, let us look at the nine spiirtual gifts, or the gifts of the Spirit. Paul lists them in the first part of this chapter, 1Cor. 12:8-10 For to one is given by the Spirit the WORD OF WISDOM; to another the WORD OF KNOWLEDGE by the same Spirit; To another FAITH by the same Spirit; to another the GIFTS OF HEALING by the same Spirit; To another the WORKING OF MIRACLES; to another PROPHECY; to another DISCERNING OF SPIRITS; to another DIVERS KINDS OF TOUGUES; to another the INTERPRETATION OF TONGUES. Paul said by the Holy Spirit at Corinth, " Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I would not have you ignorant. I certainly do not believe He wants the church today to be ignorant concerning spiritual gifts. There is however, a gross ignorance that does exist concerning these things. Paul goes on to lists nine manifestations, they are divided into three groups
Three revelation gifts:
The word of wisdom
The word of Knowledge
The discerning of spirit

The three power gifts:
Spiritual gifts that do something
The gift of Faith
The working of miracles
The gifts of healings

Three utterance or inspirational gifts
Spirital gifts that say something:
Prophecy Divers kind of tongues
Interpretation of tongues

Very often these gifts work together, as tongues and interpretation work together. These gifts are listed in the order of their importance. Of the three groups of revelation, the word of wisdom is the best gift because it brings supernatural revelation of the plan and purpose of God. Of the three gifts of power, the gift of Faith is the best gift because it is the supernatural ability to work a Miracle. Of the three gifts of utterance, the gift of prophecy is the best gift because it is complete in and of itself and it brings edification, encouragement, and comfort to the Body of Christ (1Cor.14:3). When a believer exercises his or her gift, it is an exhibition of the Spirit's power through that person. It is not simply a matter of that person doing something he or she is good at. Spiritual gifts are manifestions of the Holy Spirit. This is readily acknowledged when the more spectacular gifts are exercised. We'll very quick to give credit to God when someone is healed. But when someone with the gift of mercy exercises that gift, we'll very quick to say "isn't she sweet" or "he is such a good listener." The gift of mercy or giving, or administration is no less a manifestation of the Holy Spirit than the gift of healing or the effecting of miracles. The primary purpose of spiritual gifts is the building up of the body, not the personal graitfication of the individual member. Your nose is wprthless apart from its service to the body. And the same holds true of any particular spiritual gift. Its worth is determined by its usefulness and availability to the body.

The work of the Holy Spirit: Your part

Every sinful act is committed twice: once in our heads and once in our behavior. To win the behavior battle, we must first win the battle that takes place in our minds. Walking in the Spirit requires a mind-set, a preoccupation with truth.  The battle begins not with the temptation to do something but with the temptation to dwell on it in our minds. This is the battle before the battle. The Bible has quite a lot to say about guarding our minds. 1Peter... 1:13, Therefore, gird your minds for actions, keep sober in spirit. Colossians 3:2, Set your minds on the things above, not on the things that are on earth. Romans 12:2, And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. and Philippians 4:8, Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, let your dwell on these things. As the mind goes, so goes the body. we have to be prepared to battle before the battle, it's start with the mind. Walking in the spirit requires that we become sensitive to any thoughts that conflicts with the Word of God. Anything that is not of the Spirit only gets in the way of our being led by the Spirit. Child of God, 1Cor 10:5 says that, We are destroying specution and every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ. To speculate about something is to develop a mental scenario about it, I wonder what would happen if.... I wonder what it would be like if.... If I had only..... if she hadn't.... everything is constructed mentally before it becomes a physical reality. I know it's almost impossible to go through a day without being tempted, with thoughts, but we have to learn to cast those things down. Being successful starts with the struggles in our minds, remember it starts with a thought. It's only through the Word of God that the weapon the Holy Spirit uses to expose and destroy the lies confronting us. "more on this tomorrow"

The work of the Holy Spirit: Being Overcomers

Paul said this in Eph. 3:19 ... that you might be filled with all the fulness of God. and Eph:3:20 ... according to the Power that worketh in us. Every Spirit filled believer has in him or her, on account and ready to use, all the power that we will ever need to put us over in this life.  The problem is we have become creatures of the senses, if we can see it, feel it, taste it, hear it, or smell it must be real. But the bible says "we walk by faith, not by sight (Cor.5:7). We must believe what the word of God says, regardless of what our feeling tell us. Feelings are the voice of the flesh. If you are walking by feelings, you are dominated by the flesh. But the Bible tells us to crucify the flesh. If the flesh is crucified, the voice of the flesh is also crucified. One of the powerful and effective ways a believer can pay the price for the power of God is through fasting and prayer. Fasting brings your flesh and soul into subjection to your spirit-man. It breaks down the will of your carnal flesh and mind so that your born-again spirit can be in control. It is important to keep in mind that although fasting and prayer are powerful tools, they are not designed to move or to change God. They move and change you. When your spirit-man is in control, you put yourself in position to experience God's power. God want all of us to live in the Supernatural, but most are content with living the normal christian life. Are you willing to live beyond the cross, where the risen Savior is waiting to enpower you? Don't look outside for help, look inside "to Him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us" Eph. 3:20.

The work of the Holy Spirit: Living in the Supernatural

Let me first begin by saying that every born again believer has the Holy Spirit, we receive this gift upon our acceptance of Jesus as Savoir. The new birth experience, we must not confuse that with infilling.
The Bible teaches that there are two groups of nine in connection with the work of the Holy Spirit in the life of the believer. In the new birth experience, there are the ninefold manifestation of the fruit of the born again human spirit th...at Paul lists in Galatians 5:22-23. We all know that something happen to the disciples after Jesus breathed on them because the Bible tells us that upon their return to Jerusalem and even before the Day of Pentecost according to Luke 24:52,53 it says they were filled with great joy: And were continually in the temple, praising and blessing God. The same men that ran out of fear during Jesus trial. Well what was they waiting in the upper room for since they had already receive the Holy Spirit? They were waiting to receive the outpouring of the Holy Spirit, to be baptized with the Holy Spirit; to be endued with power (Dunamis) the power of God on them. Many in the church seem to think just because we have the indwelling presence of God inside; that there is no reason to press on. And because of that reasoning many in the church has fallen away. The disciples waited, and according to Acts 1:14, they all continue with one accord in prayer and supplication with the women. I can hear the Spirit of the Lord speaking, we'll to busy in our personal lives to ever bring the power of God to our churches. The gateway into these nine supernatural manifestations of the Holy Spirit comes with a price, that seem we are unwilling to pay. These nine gifts we find in 1Cor. 12:7-11, But the Manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. For to one is given by the Spirit The Word Of Wisdom; to another The Word Of Knowledge by the same Spirit; To another Faith by the same Spirit; to another the Gifts Of Healing by the same Spirit; To another The Working of Miracles; to another Prophecy; to another Discerning of Spirits; to another Divers kind of Tongues; to another The Interpretation Of Tongues; These gifts are given so that God may be glorified and so that we may bless others. It's time to throw away all the programs, and what we think God wants, and come together as a body of believers, and do as the disciples did in the upper room; Pray and Fast, it gives me goose bumps just thinking about it. More this week. Be Bless and Amen

The work of the Holy Spirit: His infilling Power (upon)

It's important that believers understand that there is a twofold work of the Holy Spirit in our lives. It is God's desire for every one of His children to experience this dual working of the Spirit of God in our lives. The Holy Spirit within (indwelling)
in the new birth, and the Holy Spirit upon (infilling) in the baptism of the Holy Spirit. For far to long the church has taught that the new birth experience is all the Holy Spirit one would need or ever get. But that teaching is not entirely correct, and because of it, many in the church never experience the power of God in, through and upon their lives. In John 14:14,16 we saw that Jesus promised the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit when He said, I will pray the Father, and He shall give you another Comforter.... He dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. At that time Jesus was saying this, the Holy Spirit was not yet in the disciples, nor in any of the followers of Jesus. This promise of the indwelling of the Holy Spirit was fulfilled in John 20:21-22, when the resurrected Savior breathed on them and said, Receive ye the Holy Spirit. When Jesus said that, He was referring to receiving the Holy Spirit in the new birth experience. That was when the disciples were born again. Now let us look at two other verses where Jesus is referring to a different working of the Holy Spirit in the lives of believers. Luke 24:49, And behold, I send the promise of the Father upon you: but tarry you in the city of Jerusalem, until you be endued with power from on high. and Acts 1:5,8 For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be Baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days hence... But you shall receive power, after that the Holy Spirit is come upon you. Notice thr use of the word "upon" in both Luke 24:49 and Acts 1:8, referring to the Baptism in the Holy Spirit, there is a work of the Holy Spirit that God desires in the lives of believers. This work is what most of us refer to as the gifts of the Spirit. This is the Holy Spirit coming upon us to endue us with power from on high. Why am I teaching this, only because most of us don't know, or afraid to admit that we don't know it. If the disciples had heard some of these modern day preachers, who say that a believer receives all the Holy Spirit at the new birth, then the disciples would have never went to the upper room to wait on the promise. My only prayer in these posts is that we will come away with a more clear understanding of the purpose of the Holy Spirit in our lives, and that we will reach for more of what God has promise through His word. I can only imagine what the church would be like if we all was operating in the gifts of the Spirit. More to come. God bless and Amen

The work of the Holy Spirit: Our Helper and Comforter

We notice in the Amplified version of John 14:16-18 that the Holy Spiriet is a Comforter, a Counselor, a Helper, an Intercessor, an Intercessor, an Advocate, a Strengthener, and a Standby. v16-18, And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another COMFORTER, (COUNSELOR, HELPER, INTERCESSOR, ADVOCATE, STRENGTHENER AND STANDBY)  that He may remain with you forever, The Spirit of Truth, Whom the world cannot receive (welcome, take to its heart), because it does not see Him, nor know and recognize Him. But you know and recognize Him, for He lives with you (constantly...) and will be in you. I will not leave you orphans - comfortless, desolate, bereaved, forlorn, helpless - I will come (back) to you. If we read what Jesus is saying from these verses, we see we don't need anything more than that. Many believers have missed the reality of what the Holy Spirit can to do in us on a continual basic. To often instead of looking on the inside when we need help, we run around frantically, almost in a frenzy, trying to find someone to pray for us, or lay our heads on their shoulders. Only to find out that those problems are still there when we'll alone, we must learn to look to the inside first. The Holy Spirit will make Jesus and the things of God real to you. And when you need it, He will bring to your remembrance the Word of God that is hidden in your heart (119:11). All that we could ever need is already been placed within us, we need to tap into the greater one in us, but remember this, God can only bring out of us that which is in us, little word, little power, the Holy Spirit always lifts up the Word of God. Jesus has given us the power to be overcomers, as we fill our hearts with the Word of God. God said He would put His law in our "inward parts" - in our hearts or spirits. It is by the Holy Spirit that God's law are written in our hearts. The work of the Holy Spirit is to help you become all that God said you could become, we just have to learn to listen and look to Him and He will glide us. Amen
